Beijing secure comeback win in Chinese Super League
Beijing Guoan rode on three goals from substitutes in eight minutes to rally past Meizhou Hakka 3-2 in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.
Visitors Meizhou took the initiative in the first half as Ye Chugui broke the deadlock in the 19th minute, and Wang Jianan added another just before halftime.
Things turned to Beijing's favor when Meizhou's Pan Ximing was sent off for a violent stamp on Fabio Abreu in the 74th minute. Two minutes later, Lin Liangming pulled one back for Beijing by heading home Li Lei's cross from the left.
Yu Dabao leveled the score in the 82nd minute with a brilliant strike from outside the box, before Fang Hao sealed the win with a header two minutes later.
After the comeback win, Beijing now sit third in the standings with a five-game winning streak.
Elsewhere, league leaders Shanghai Shenhua were held to a goalless draw by Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, and now sit three points ahead of Shanghai Port who have a game in hand, while Wuhan Three Towns lost to Shandong Taishan 2-1 at home.
